The magnificent Eugen Sandow, photographed here in 1894 by George Steckel, his physique looking every bit as impressive to a modern eye as it would have to his contemporaries.
Showing off his impressive physique in the photographer’s studio, this strapping chap seems to have been given a little discreet editing before printing; he’s distinctly blurry around the edges of that little fig leaf!
Early body builder Bobby Pandur (spelled in some of his publicity material and magazine features as Pandour, such as this here), captioned in these postcards as no less than the very King of physical beauty!
Vintage postcard of nude bodybuilder, c 1904, BOBBY PANDUR (1876 - 1920)
We have seen Bobby Pand[o]ur before, in a fantastic double-page spread, but this photograph was not included in that selection.
Presented in a similar artistically embellished way as the 1903 set of male nude photographs posted previously, this double-page spread of neatly arranged pictures with their meticulously detailed borders depict Bobby Pandour, displaying his impressively muscled body in a variety of poses. The full size image can be seen here.
As the first photograph of Ange Camilli was so popular when posted, here is another fine picture of this remarkably handsome man. Sadly, the rest of the set have been censored to preserve his modesty at the time of publishing, and it appears the unedited images have never been made available.
